In an unearthed clip from Chris Hughes and Jesy Nelson's relationship, the Little Mix singer reveals she wanted to be with the Love Islander forever.

Chris and Jesy first started dating in January 2019, before announcing their split during lockdown in 2020. A report from The Sun in April explained, "Jesy and Chris split up a couple of weeks ago. It was all very amicable and they're still really good friends

"Jesy rang Chris and led the conversation about their relationship and both agreed that it felt like it had run its course - they're both absolutely fine."

Chris later admitted he was left heartbroken by the split, adding that his life was a "sh*tstorm" after the break up.

Now, in an unearthed clip from their relationship, fans have been left devastated for the couple, after Jesy revealed she wanted to be with Chris Hughes ‘for the rest of her life’ in his BBC documentary (via Metro).

The documentary follows Chris and his brother Ben's journey with testicular cancer, after Ben was diagnosed with it 2019. In one scene, Jesy, 29, can be seen comforting Chris over possible infertility, as she tells the camera: "‘Chris is a very confident person but he does worry about a lot of things, he gets a lot of anxiety and does stress about things and I think this is one thing that plays on his mind a lot."

She continues, "The thought of the fact that he might be infertile does play on his mind a lot, I think that would worry a lot of men, I think especially for Chris because I know he wants to have kids.

"I just want to be with Chris for the rest of my life, he’s the one that makes me happy – whether we had kids or not if won’t affect anything. All I can do is just be there for him as someone that loves him, just keep an eye on him and hopefully it will be alright."

Chris also opened up to MailOnline about why he wanted to keep the clip in the documentary, despite the couple's split. "The beauty of that conversation is that it showcases a conversation a lot of couples have. It's very relatable," he said.

"Obviously we supported each other when we were together. I still support her now with things, whether I do that publicly or not, I still do support her anyway."

Me, My Brother and Our Balls is available to watch on BBC Three from September 30.
