Jet2 stated: "We have been made aware of road works between Junction 23A and Junction 25 on the M1, one lane will be permanently closed on the Northbound and Southbound carriageways with a 50mph speed restriction in place. Delays are likely during peak hours.
"There will be sporadic closures of Junction 23A slip roads, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00. There will be signed diversions. Please allow enough time to travel to East Midlands Airport as all Jet2.com flights are due to operate as scheduled."
Further instructions mentioned: "Please check this section of the website at least 12 hours before your flight for the latest flight information. Customers are advised to arrive at their departure airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time."

"Rest assured, in the event of flight disruption our dedicated Operations teams are always working hard behind the scenes at our UK-based HQ to get you on your way as soon as possible."
Motorists on the M1 in Nottinghamshire faced significant delays on Tuesday, May 7 due to emergency roadworks. A section of the southbound carriageway is closed for repairs between junctions 24 (Nottingham/ East Midlands Airport) and 25 (Nottingham/Derby). This has resulted in substantial congestion as a great number of drivers head to work, according to traffic monitoring site Inrix.
"Long delays and one lane closed due to emergency repairs on M1 in both directions from J24 A453 Ashby Road (Nottingham South / East Midlands Airport) to J25 A52 Brian Clough Way (Nottingham / Derby). Congestion to J26 Nottingham. Travel time is around 30 minutes," reads the report from Inrix.
