First Lady Jill Biden met her Ukrainian counterpart Olena Zelenska in Uzhhorod on May 8, her press secretary Michael LaRosa said.

The meeting came as Biden made an unannounced trip to Slovakia and west Ukraine. Earlier, she met Ukrainians at a processing center in Kosice, Slovakia, LaRosa said.
