JK Rowling flawlessly trolls Piers Morgan over kind article he wrote about her

JK Rowling and Piers Morgan appear to be embroiled in the biggest celebrity Twitter spat of 2017, with last week seeing the two stars come head to head in a series of vicious tweets.

Now, JK has tickled her followers by flawlessly trolling the TV presenter over an article that he’d written – with Piers playing perfectly into her hands.

The pair are at loggerheads again.

Writing to her 9 million social media followers, JK shared a screenshot from an article about herself alongside the caption: “Just been sent this! Could the writer let me know who he is? I’d love to thank him! #Valentines”

The article segment read: “She’s sold over 400 million copies of her Harry Potter books, and also the movie rights for some of the biggest-grossng films in history, creating a global brand that’s worth an estimated £7billion, making her over £500million personally; she’s won squillions of awards; and she was even named the 48th most powerful celebrity in the world by Forbes magazine. So Ms. Rowling definitely matters.

“She would hate to be called a celebrity, and guards her private life intensely, so she doesn’t play any part of the celebrity game.

“And that’s why I’ve marked her quite far down my list. But by encouraging children to read, feel inspired and creative, she has had a greater impact on the world than most of the other names on it.”

Like a moth to a flame, Piers couldn’t resist calling JK out for her “narcissistic” tweet, retweeting her original message and adding: “Priceless #humblebrag BS.

“Nobody plays the celebrity game more abusively or ruthlessly than you, Ms ‘Intensely Private Billionaire’.”

However, eagle-eyed followers soon twigged that it was none other than Piers who had written the article, with JK featuring in his 2010 list of “The 100 British Celebrities Who Really Matter“.

Piers wrote the kind article back in 2010.

Needless to say, Twitter went into a tizzy over the revelation that Piers had no idea he’d written the kind words about his new nemesis, and so far, the star is yet to comment on the confusion.

Another day over and it’s safe to say: JK:1, Piers: 0.
