Joan Collins failed to turn up to Lorraine yesterday thanks - or no thanks rather - to traffic jams. When she finally did pop up for an interview on the breakfast TV show with temporary host Christine Bleakley, she swore TWICE.

The Dynasty legend ended up pre-recording her interview after the traffic dramz yesterday, yet amazingly two dirty words slipped through to the broadcasted interview.

Speaking about her character Alexis Carrington, the actress explained that she thought it unfair how tough female characters like her are dubbed a "bitch", while it's acceptable for men to be aggressive in business.

"And various very aggressive, assertive businessmen," she said. "You do not get ahead in business without being assertive, aggressive, strong and forceful.

"Now, they do not call a man a 'bitch' for that, however they do call a woman a bitch for that and I find that very unforgivable in many ways.

"I do think Alexis, who I liked very much as a character, she had a lot to be upset about, she was banished from her children by Blake."

However, she said she didn't know if a Dynasty reboot will happen and her involvement would "depend on the script".

Before she turned the air blue on Lorraine, Joan actually starred in a movie entitled The Bitch back in 1979, where she runs a nightclub and attempts to help a man having issues with the mob.

Elsewhere in the chat, the 83-year-old explained how she coped after losing her romance-novelist sister Jackie Collins in 2015.

She said: "Losing somebody very, very close to you, you expect to lose your parents, you don't expect to lose your sibling.

"I think it was a massive shock, it took me months and months to process it. I cried several times a day but you get on with life."

Joan was appearing on Lorraine to promote her new film Time of Their Lives, a British comedy that hits cinemas today (March 10).
