Former Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines is currently preparing to launch her own TV network. But like the rest of us mere mortals, she's found herself suddenly at home. That somehow hasn't stopped the creative force behind the Magnolia empire from making the most of her new schedule.

Over the past few weeks, Jo has been cooking up recipes from her brand new cookbook, Magnolia Table, Volume 2, on her Instagram account. Those "cooking show" videos, which were filmed at home by her adorable kids, have been turned into a one-hour special for the Food Network, which is slated to premiere this Sunday, April 5 at 12 p.m. ET.

And buried inside Jo's announcement about the special was some big news about the upcoming Magnolia Network. After months of speculation, the best-selling cookbook author confirmed that she will launch her very own cooking show, and a sneak peak will air during this weekend's special.

Jo first sent the internet spinning about the possibility of her own cooking show when she stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Nov. 7 for the unveiling of the cover of Volume 2.

"I don't want to tell you how to do your network," Jimmy told Jo at the time. "But I would do a cooking show for you."

"I like that idea Jimmy, but you've got to talk to this guy," she responded, pointing to Chip sitting next to her. Of course, the contractor wasted no time thinking it over and jumped right on board.

"I'm cool with it," he said. "You're talking to the executives of the Magnolia Network."

Although you'll have to wait until April 7 to open your hard copy of the book, you can start cooking some of Jo's new recipes now after she shared a few sneak peeks in recent weeks—including a creamy poblano soup, which was inspired by one of Chip and Jo's very first dates. Jo also revealed her favorite dessert from the cookbook with a confession: The lifestyle guru is "a firm believer that the more chocolate the better."
