She won a Bafta for her role in Killing Eve and has just starred in a film opposite Ryan Reynolds – but Jodie Comer still lives with her parents and sleeps in her childhood bedroom.

The actress, 27, has revealed that she only recently began to consider moving out of the Liverpool home she shares with her parents and younger brother.

Speaking to The Sunday Times’ Style magazine, she said: “I’d live with my mum and dad till I was old and grey if I could.”

The star explained that her mother’s home cooking – particularly a Sunday roast – has discouraged her from packing up the room she’s been in since school, which she insists “doesn’t still have a single bed and Winnie-the-Pooh wallpaper”.

However, Comer added: “I recognise I need my own space and independence. I just don’t want to do it.”

The actress – who starred in soaps before getting her big break in Doctor Foster – also opened up to the magazine about her new boyfriend.

She said: “You know, I would never want to speak badly about people in my past, but yeah, this relationship feels very different.

“This feels like nothing else. When you actually feel it, you’re like, ‘Ahhh, so this is what it feels like!’”

Comer didn’t name her new partner, but she is thought to be in a relationship with a 26-year-old American who works in tech, James Burke, who she insists “isn’t in the public eye at all”.

The pair met at a party in Boston in 2019 while she was in the area filming Free Guy.

It comes after the star revealed the top beauty products she swears by.

Speaking in September to Refinery29, she said: “Whenever anyone uses an Hourglass foundation on me, I love it. Their highlighter palettes are also so good.

“I also really like the Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer sticks, but I like to warm the product up on my hand first and then apply it, as if you layer it, it can be quite thick.”

Comer added: “I like concealer and a little eyebrow gel so I don't have to fill in my brows. I use MAC Brow Set in Clear because that stuff does not shift.”

She is also a fan of skincare brand Noble Panacea, and uses their The Brilliant Radiant Resilience Moisturiser, as well as the matching serum and Overnight Recharge Cream.

The star gets her hair done at John Frieda, and looks after her locks in between visits with Olaplex hair products.
