Joe Swash has FINALLY had the cockroach in his ear removed following an I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp trial that went very wrong.

The presenter was rushed to A&E after the critter burrowed deep into his ear, but doctors were initially unable to remove it.

Swash had to live with the cockroach inside his head for TWO DAYS before it could finally be retrieved by doctors.

He took to Instagram today to share a video of his ear being syringed by specialists, pulling a pained expression as a long pair of tweezers were inserted into his ear.

He told his followers earlier in the day: “You can actually smell cockroach. I’m at hospital, hopefully today is the day I can get rid of the little squatter who has been in my ear for two days.”

A camera was shoved down his ear and after catching a glimpse of the critter, Swash said: “Oh my god, s**t, it’s huge’.”

After the cockroach was finally removed, Swash shared a picture of it and proudly wrote: This little was the little f**ker that was in my ear for 2 days!!!!”

Speaking on last night’s episode of Extra Camp before the critter had been removed, he said: “It’s not out. I’ve got a cockroach in my ear, it’s been in there two days. It’s just squatting.

“You can smell it dying in my ear. But don’t worry though, it’s coming out today. I’ll bring him in so you can all see him!”

Co-host Scarlett Moffatt explained: “It stinks. He keeps getting everyone to sniff it.”

This isn’t the first unfortunate incident on this year’s I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp. Just last week Swash’s co-host Joel Dommett was rushed to hospital after a wooden sign fell on his head on set. Dommett received seven stitches and had to miss an episode of the spin-off show.
