As the nation’s PE teacher Joe Wicks enters into his fifth week of home workouts, he's revealed how much money he's raised through the live streams to his YouTube channel so far.

The fitness guru pledged to donate his ad revenue generated by his videos to the NHS Charities Together fund amid the coronavirus pandemic, and has now so far raised over £91,000.

The father-of-two shared the good news via his Instagram as he thanked fans for raising the money with him.

He posted: "I’m super happy to announce that as a global community training together with #pewithjoe we have raised an incredible £91,256.38 for the @nhscharitiestogether fund.

"This is every penny so far raised from the 20 workouts we have done together. Thank you so much for taking part and helping raise all this money for a cause which I feel we can all be proud of. The great news is we can grow this number even bigger each week by coming back and tuning in again."

Last week it was unveiled that the ‘Body Coach' had scored a Guinness World Record through one of his streams.

The second of his PE workout videos managed to attract 955,185 viewers setting a new record for 'Most viewers for a fitness workout live stream on YouTube'.

It wasn't the first record Wicks had earned either, as he previously achieved the award for the largest high-intensity training class as he was joined by 3,804 people for a workout at British Summer Time festival in 2017.
