With everyone being stuck at home because of the government-enforced lockdown, TV channels are asking celebrities and presenters to invite us into their homes in order to have new content to broadcast.

To that end, ITV2 has given I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp and The Masked Singer UK host Joel Dommett his own show, which is set to air late on Sunday nights.

The show, titled Home Alone with Joel Dommett, will be broadcast from his house and feature him and his wife Hannah Cooper.

There are also plans to have celebrity call-ins and games to be played with viewers at home, with a press release calling the show "anarchic".

"I'm so excited to try and cheer up the nation in this extraordinary time from my own home," Joel said in a statement.

"I have limited resources – a camera, the internet and my wife. We could either make porn, or a show for ITV2.

"We decided on the latter – although both would make people laugh."

It was announced back in January (which feels about five years ago by now) that ITV had cancelled Joel's other show, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! aftershow Extra Camp, due to the high production costs versus how late it aired.

Home Alone with Joel Dommett is set to begin Sunday, April 19 at 10pm on ITV2.
