Joel Dommett says stripping off for his new TV comedy was easy

Comedian Joel Dommett revealed he had no qualms about stripping off for his new TV series — after all, he joked, he has been the victim of a sex tape leak.

A video of the former I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! contestant performing a sex act was released online, two years after he was lured into a relationship by a woman calling herself Staci.

A Twitter account claiming to own the footage then attempted to blackmail him weeks before he was confirmed for the ITV series.

Dommett, 32, said the incident left him unfazed about getting naked on his show Joel & Nish vs The World, in which he and fellow comedian Nish Kumar immerse themselves in the lives of the world’s toughest people. “The sumo wrestling week was a very naked week,” he told A-List.

“You’ve just got to go for it. I was naked for the whole week. I thought it’s essentially not anything nobody’s seen before online. I’ve got the mawashi pants on … that’s more than we’ve seen on my online sex tape.”

He added: “There are parts of Nish’s body I’ve seen … that I thought I’d never see and I genuinely think there are parts of my body that Nish has seen that my fiancée hasn’t seen.”

Dommett proposed to model Hannah Cooper in December, a year after they met on Instagram.
