John Boyega seems to have confirmed that Tom Hardy will have a cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, alongside Princes William and Harry.

Earlier this year, Hardy was rumoured to be playing a Stormtrooper friend of Finn's in Episode 8, a bit like when Daniel Craig cameoed as the Stormtrooper who was Force-manipulated by Rey (Daisy Ridley) in The Force Awakens .

The Princes visited the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in April 2016, which led to rumours about their cameos, probably also as Stormtroopers.

Boyega appeared on BBC Radio 4 today (August 18) to talk about new movie Detroit, but of course talk turned to Star Wars and he was asked if the Princes had lines during their cameos. "I think they took that scene out," he joked (via ScreenDaily).

"I've had enough with those secrets. They came on set. They were there. I'm sick of hiding it. I think it was leaked, anyway. There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it. I'm tired of dodging it. They were there. So was Tom Hardy."

Now Boyega could have just been joking about confirming the cameos, but it wouldn't surprise us if they were all accurate.

After all, Gary Barlow confirmed earlier this year that he was in The Last Jedi and he isn't even playing a Stormtrooper, so why wouldn't royalty and Tom Hardy be in it too?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi lands in UK cinemas on December 14 and US cinemas on December 15.
