As we wave around our lightsabers for the arrival of Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, a galaxy of famous faces have been out in force for the movie's European premiere in London.

Among those assembled were John Boyega, who reprises his role as Finn from 2015's The Force Awakens.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy on the red carpet, the 25-year-old addressed whether, with the current trilogy, the spin-offs, and another trilogy to come, Star Wars is in danger of burning out.

John Boyega is STILL so excited for #StarWars #TheLastJedoi and we are so here for it.

"To a certain extent, there possibly could be [a danger], but I feel you've got Rian Johnson at the helm of this story," he assured us. "I'm sure there's quality and a distinct difference between those films and others, variety is good."

Starting back in 1977, George Lucas's original trilogy ran until 1983, followed by a prequel trilogy from 1999, and now the Disney years of the Skywalker saga.

These days, it looks like there is no stopping the House of Mouse from repeatedly taking us back to that galaxy far, far away, but Boyega insisted that "they have a plan and I'm sure they know what they're doing".

But even with Star Wars movies now lined up until some far-off date, there's still one burning question that needs answering: "Will we ever get that Boba Fett spin-off?"

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens on December 14 in the UK and December 16 in the US.
