Yahoo News John Legend sings about erections on Carpool Karaoke
The Late Late Show spin-off Carpool Karaoke has booked some pretty good guests, but we doubt any of them are better combined singers than Alicia Keys and John Legend.
Fortunately for James Corden, he was in the backseat while Alicia and John took charge for the new Apple Music show, and thus got to listen to the beautiful songbirds up close and personal.
So he made them sing about smelling bad and four-hour erections. Obviously.
"You two, you have such incredible voices, there's literally nothing you can't sing and it won't sound good," the Late Late Show host said at the start of the journey, before asking Alicia to sing about "all-natural deodorant making promises it can't keep".
So, she did (after admitting the subject is a debate she and her husband have had quite often), and it was awesome.
Then it was John's turn, for which James had a cheekier request.
"John, if your erection lasts more than four hours, you should consult your doctor immediately," he asked the 'All of Me' singer to belt out.
Which he also did, before adding a nifty chorus that's pretty catchy: "You're too hard, you're too hard, it's not appropriate right now."
Christmas number one, here they come...
