John Mayer has noticed something rather awkward about an Instagram photo of Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin kissing in a hot tub.
You know, that perfectly romantic and intimate moment being shared by the newly-engaged couple... that almost certainly had to have been taken by a photographer who was presumably in the hot tub with them.
"Interesting dynamic with the photographer in the hot tub. That's gotta feel super third wheel," Mayer replied in the comments.
"I see a lot of myself in this hot tub photographer. Imagine being in a hot tub on business," the singer jokingly added.
Ignoring the fact that it could have been taking on a timer, it's a great observation by Mayer.
Not that his comments are likely to bother Bieber much, with the singer having been the subject of one of the most hotly anticipated celeb roastings of all time, where comedian Jeff Ross branded him the "King Joffrey of pop" – it'll be hard to ever top that epic insult.
Bieber confirmed his engagement to Hailey earlier this week with a sweet black-and-white photo of the couple that he captioned by saying that Hailey is "the love of my life" and he "wouldn't want to spend it with anybody else".
"Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!" he added. "So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindly.
"My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first!"
