John Stamos Gets Probation For Drug Driving

Actor John Stamos has been sentenced to three years of probation after pleading no contest to driving under the influence of a drug.

The Full House star was stopped by police for erratic driving in Beverly Hills in June.

He was briefly admitted to hospital after his arrest for an undisclosed medical condition.

Police have not identified the substance they suspect Stamos had taken.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Jane Godfrey ordered the 52-year-old actor to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and attend a counselling session as part of his sentence.

Stamos is slated to produce and appear in a 13-episode reboot of Full House for Netflix, scheduled to debut next year.

The original hit television showed aired from 1987 to 1995.

Stamos currently appears on the Fox television series Grandfathered.
