Lisa Faulkner has been thoroughly treated by John Torode over Valentine's weekend –and was whisked off to Raymond Blanc's high-end hotel Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire.

Both Lisa and John shared pictures from the gorgeous getaway on their Instagram feeds.

Lisa posted a montage of the country escape, showing her outside the pretty hotel as well as an image of the couple dressed up in their finest for dinner.

Lisa wrote: "Thoroughly spoilt again yesterday by my husband @johntorodecooks thank you!! @belmondlemanoir."

She looked ultra-pretty in a tiered orange dress with an on-trend wide belt to finish.

John also shared pictures of the couple's epic breakfast in bed, which put our Marmite on toast to shame.

He wrote: "Who doesn’t like breakfast in bed . Bloody loved it with my @lisafaulknercooks lovely morning on a stormy day . #stormy #breakfastinbed #birthday."

As well as being a Valentine's treat, the trip was also a celebration for Lisa's birthday, as the star turns 48 on 19 February.

And Belmond le Manoir is certainly a treat. The hotel is a 15th century manor tucked away in picturesque countryside. Described as a 'culinary retreat', the hotel boasts a two Michelin-starred restaurant headed up by owner Raymond Blanc, who also runs a cookery school there.

The honey-hued manor is warmed by open fires in the winter, while the lush two-acre gardens are an abundance of colour in the summer, making it, as the name suggests, a house for all seasons.

The couple, who host John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen cooking show together, are obviously fans of heritage buildings; the pair tied the knot in October 2019 at the time Grade II-listed Aynhoe Park in Northamptonshire.

Happy birthday, Lisa!
