Johnny Depp thanks fans in first TikTok after gaining more than 4million followers

Johnny Depp has thanked his “unwavering” fans in his first TikTok post on Tuesday.

More than four million people welcomed the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 58, to the social media platform by following him in on the day he joined.

His first TikTok post showed highlights from his run of live concerts with musician Jeff Beck and moments of fans showing their support with banners.

The song Stranger by Love Joys was played over the top of the montage.

Alongside it, Depp thanked his fans for their constant support in his caption.

He wrote: “To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together.

“We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together.

“You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD.”

It comes after Depp celebrated his win against Amber Heard in court with a curry night which was alleged to have cost £50,000.

Depp won his multimillion-dollar US lawsuit against ex wife Heard after a jury ruled her 2018 article in the Washington Post was defamatory.

The actor has been awarded compensatory damages of 10 million dollars (£8 million) and a further 5 million dollars (£4 million) in punitive damages.

Also the jury found in favour of Heard who said she was defamed by Depp’s lawyer when he called her abuse allegations a hoax.

Heard will receive $2 million out of the $100million she was seeking in her countersuit against the star.

Depp had sued the Aquaman star for 50 million US dollars over the piece titled: “I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.”

The article does not mention Depp by name but his lawyers said it falsely implies he physically and sexually abused Heard while they were together.
