Johnny Depp's Daughter Lily-Rose Accuses Amber Heard Of Lying About Domestic Abuse

Yesterday afternoon Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose broke her silence just two days after her father was accused of physically abusing his estranged wife Amber Heard.

Amber filed for divorce last week and was also granted a restraining order against the Hollywood actor following her claims.

Seventeen-year-old Lily initially did not mention any of the allegations but shared a throwback of herself with Johnny and the caption: “My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same.”

However, Lily has now gone one step further and taken to social media to hint that Amber is lying about the abuse.

Presented without comment, the teen model shared a screenshot of a news article that reads: “The Los Angeles Police Department investigated Amber Heard’s domestic abuse claim against Johnny Depp on May 21, but found no proof that a crime had occurred, a police spokesman tells PEOPLE.

”‘On May 21 2016, officers responded to a domestic incident adio call…’ LAPD Sgt. Marlon Marrache says. 'The person reporting the crime [Heard] did not insist on a report and no report was warranted. There was no evidence of any crime. A crime did not occur so the officers left the scene and left a business card.’

“Marrache adds that if there had been any signs of abuse, officers would have conducted an investigation, regardless of what Heard said had happened.”

Lily’s post drew a mixed response in the comments, with many praising her for standing by her dad but others concerned that she was dismissing such a serious allegation.

One of the starlet’s followers wrote: “#ImWithAmber . In Hollywood there is this phenomenon that if a woman goes public with her abuse story, it somehow always gets twisted into her just being a gold digging wh*re, who’s doing it for attention.

"Her reputation is gonna get ruined, while everyone (including the media of course) supports the guy, and not the victim, and because of that, nothing’s going to happen to his career, in fact all the publicity and media support might make him even more popular. This has happened so many times, it’s kind of terrifying. This is just another example of this very phenomenon. [sic]”

Lily’s post comes after her mother, Vanessa Paradis, released a statement defending Johnny - who denies all of the claims against him - dubbing the allegations “outrageous”.

Yesterday it was reported that one of Amber and Johnny’s neighbours will be supporting Amber’s claims in court, with the neighbour alleging that Johnny “hit her hands away” when she tried to defend Amber during one altercation.
