Johnny Depp’s Ex Winona Ryder Opens Up On ‘Unimaginable’ Abuse Allegations
It was only a matter of time before someone asked Winona Ryder to share her thoughts on Amber Heard accusing Johnny Depp of physical abuse.
With members of Johnny’s inner circle coming to his defense in the wake of the couple’s divorce, his ex-fiancée (Winona) has now come forward to express her shock over the allegations, calling the claims “unimaginable.”

Winona, who dated Johnny for four years after meeting on the set of Edward Scissorhands, stressed in the interview with Time magazine that she could only speak from her personal experiences with the Hollywood star.
“I can only speak from my own experience, which was wildly different than what is being said,” she began.
Then added: “He was never, never that way towards me. Never abusive at all towards me. I only know him as a really good, loving, caring guy who is very, very protective of the people that he loves.”

Johnny and Winona famously dated back in the nineties, after getting engaged in 1990 when she was just 19 years old.
Speaking of present day while continuing to reflect on her own past, the now 44-year-old explained: “I wasn’t there. I don’t know what happened. I’m not calling anyone a liar.
“I’m just saying, it’s difficult and upsetting for me to wrap my head around it. Look, it was a long time ago, but we were together for four years, and it was a big relationship for me.
“Imagine if someone you dated when you were – I was 17 when I met him – was accused of that. It’s just shocking. I have never seen him be violent toward a person before.”

The actress’ statements echo those of Johnny’s other ex-partner, Vanessa Paradis, who recently penned a thoughtful letter in support of Johnny’s character, following a 14-year relationship with him.
This comes after Amber, 30, accused Johnny, 54, of getting physical with her on multiple occasions – and recently had her restraining order against him extended until August 15.
It was originally granted after Amber claimed that Johnny had thrown an iPhone at her face – Johnny’s attorneys have denied all of the allegations, claiming that they were made ‘in response to negative media attention.’
