Lady Gaga was spotted filming DC sequel Joker: Folie à Deux out in New York City this weekend.

The iconic 'Alejandro' singer is onboard this one as Arkham Asylum psychiatrist Harley Quinn, who's converted to the dark side by Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck.

In the new set pictures, which were taken outside New York County Supreme Court in downtown Manhattan yesterday, onlookers received their first proper glimpse of Gaga in costume.

Surrounded by Gotham City police, this Harley matches her lipstick with a bright red blazer and diamond-decked top, staying true to the comic book character's famous look.

The bustling crowd scene also featured extras lifting picket signs with the demand "Free Joker" scrawled across them.

Alongside the returning Phoenix and Zazie Beetz (who'll reprise Arthur's neighbour Sophie Dumond), Folie à Deux director Todd Phillips managed to snap up the talents of Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey too, although their roles remain undisclosed.

Meanwhile, Kaley Cuoco and Margot Robbie were reportedly engaged in a feud over their respective Harley Quinn portrayals back in 2020.

Shutting the rumours down, the former told Interview magazine: "When [animated series Harley Quinn] became kind of a big deal and then when Birds of Prey came out, there were all these stories that me and Margot Robbie were feuding.

"But I've never even met her. I love her."

The Big Bang Theory actress went on to shush one piece of gossip in particular, which claimed that she and Robbie declined to share a San Diego Comic-Con stage.

"Neither of us was even at Comic-Con, OK?" she revealed.

Joker: Folie à Deux arrives in cinemas on October 4, 2024.
