Jonathan Ross thanks good samaritan after lost dog is found

Jonathan Ross has said thank you to the good samaritan who found his lost dog.

The TV presenter posted an appeal on Twitter for help finding his pet pug after it escaped from the garden in Swanage.

But an hour later he shared his relief as he revealed the pooch had been handed in to a local vet.

Ross wrote: “Pug is home!! Thank you to whomever found him and took him to the safe haven of Lynwood Vets. Phew.”

Ross previously posted a picture of a black pug and wrote: “Hi. If anyone is in or around Swanage today and they see a black pug he may be mine!! He must have escaped from the garden. This is his brother”

The 58-year-old TV star lives with his screenwriter wife Jane Goldman in North London, but also has a holiday home in the Dorset seaside town of Swanage.

The family are big animal lovers and have a menagerie of cats and dogs.

Last week former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge appealed for help on Instagram after his pet Pomeranian Lucci was stolen from his home in Los Angeles.

He later thanked his followers after being reunited with his beloved dog.
