Jonathan Scott Teases 'Best Year Yet' in Sweet Tribute to Fiancée Zooey Deschanel for Her 44th Birthday
The ‘Property Brothers’ host and ‘New Girl’ star got engaged in August 2023 during a family trip to Scotland
Jonathan Scott is looking forward to an exciting year ahead with fiancée Zooey Deschanel.
In honor of the New Girl alum’s 44th birthday on Wednesday, the Property Brothers star, 45, shared a touching tribute to his soon-to-be wife on Instagram. The post included a collage-style video, below, of photos taken throughout their relationship as instrumental piano music played in the background.
“Happy birthday @zooeydeschanel,” Scott wrote in the caption, adding, “something tells me that this will be the best year yet! 😉🥰”
Included in the mix of photos was a snap of the couple standing in front of their Christmas tree as they celebrated the holiday for the first time together as an engaged couple. Another shot showed the pair posing side by side as Deschanel shows off her engagement ring, followed by the lovebirds sharing a passionate kiss in the next photo.
Deschanel celebrated her special day with a birthday post of her own that featured a black-and-white shot of her in a tiara followed by a picture of the happy couple enjoying a glass of wine at dinner.
“This triple Capricorn thanks you for all the birthday wishes 🩷🩷,” she captioned the post. In the comments section, Scott replied back: “Oh we’ve got some birthday surprises for YOU! 🥰”
Deschanel and Scott got engaged in August 2023 after more than three years of dating. The HGTV star popped the question to his then-girlfriend while the pair were enjoying a family trip together in Scotland.
The actress’ two kids — Charlie Wolf, 6, and Elsie Otter, 8 — were excited to watch the proposal unfold and actually thought the engagement was a wedding at the time.
