Joshua Zirkzee sends Ryan Gravenberch message as Liverpool rivals and Virgil van Dijk critic agree
Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has posted to social media as he continues to earn rave reviews. The 22-year-old has carried his club form onto the international stage with the Netherlands having being in fine form since Arne Slot took over as head coach.
He was one of the standout performers for Oranje in their 2-2 draw with Germany, providing an assist for Tijani Reinders' opener. After a cagey start to his time at Liverpool, Gravenberch is now carrying on his strong start to the campaign - including another good showing for his country in the 5-2 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dutch manager Ronald Koeman suggested that "maybe the penny will drop" for the former Bayern Munich and Ajax talent after failing to break into the midfield. He showed glimpses during his debut season but under Slot and with the conversation firmly focused on Liverpool's midfield options, Gravenberch's role in the side has been one of the catalysts for the Reds' winning start to the Premier League campaign.

Taking to social media, Gravenberch wrote: "Great few days," and received praise from Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk as well as players from rival clubs such as Arsenal's Jurrien Timber and Joshua Zirkzee of Manchester United.
Reds players will be landing back from their respective international fixtures this week as they return to Premier League action on Saturday against Nottingham Forest. Slot's side are unbeaten in the top-flight and have a spring in their step following a comfortable 3-0 win over rivals United on the eve of the international break.
Gravenberch also played a key role in that triumph and will return to Anfield in top form. Former Netherlands star Rafael Van der Vaart - a renowned critic of the national team who has laid into Van Dijk in the past - was swooning over the Dutch midfielder.
“Ryan Gravenberch? We got a fantastic midfielder for our country," he said. "Arne Slot brought [has] him back to his highest level and his potential is fully coming out. The first 60 minutes he was by far the best player on the pitch."
