Josie Gibson has revealed a series of shocking injuries including a black eye and facial bruises after being allegedly assaulted in the back of a taxi.
The former Big Brother star claims that she was punched in the face by a man while she and her friends were giving him a lift home following a night out.
Gibson posted photos showing close-ups of her injuries on Tuesday night, including a black eye and a bruised breastbone.
“Nothing makes me more angry and disturbed than a ‘man’ that thinks it’s acceptable and funny to attack women,” she wrote on Twitter.
“He punched my friend in the face several times when we told him to get out of our taxi."
She added: “Just because we were kind enough to give you a lift doesn’t mean to can try and do the things you were doing to her!'
“I tried but couldn’t stop him as he was in the back. Then he went for my other friend next to me from the back because we were screaming for him to get out.”
Gibson said that she tried to hit the man with her shoe after her friend fell “unconscious” in the back of the taxi after being hit.
After he was finally forced out of the taxi, Gibson claimed that the man then opened the boot of the car and continued to punch her friend.
“I feel so bad for my friend and all she did was stop him,” she continued.
“I would be absolutely mortified if this was any son of mine.”
Gibson rose to fame after winning the 2010 series of Big Brother and has since appeared on shows including Loose Women and The Wright Stuff.
