Josie Gibson celebrated her now role as Holly Willoughby’s This Morning co-host as she took to Instagram to share a touching post.

The former Big Brother star has joined the line-up in a new look for the ITV daytime show as she steps up to replace Phillip Schofield fronting the popular programme alongside Willoughby.

Gibson, 38, will start in her new position on Monday after she was announced as part of the new presenting team by colleagues Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary as they signed off from Friday’s show.

Gibson took to the social media platform alongside her four-year-old son Reggie just an hour after the announcement was made as they rode on a horse and carriage.

Gibson beamed into the camera as she cuddled her little boy while he giggled with the pair seemingly delighted on their trip.

She played the Terry Bush theme song Maybe Tomorrow from retro TV show The Littlest Hobo over the top of the clip.

Gibson has been a regular part of the This Morning presenting team since 2019 hosting competitions and filling in for other presenters on the show.

The Bristolian born star is also good friends with her colleague Hammond, recently revealing that the pair regularly spend Christmas together.

She recently admitted Hammond had been the driving force behind her success on This Morning telling New magazine: “Even before I’d presented the main show on This Morning, if we would go into the main show she’d say to put me on open talkback – where you can hear the whole gallery talking – to practise.

“I’d say: ‘I don’t want to do that!’ and she’d say, ‘You’re doing it. If you don’t push yourself, you’re never going to get further.”

Willoughby meanwhile is currently holidaying in Portugal for the half term break and will return to screens alongside Gibson for the first time since Schofield’s shock departure on Monday.
