Joy Behar slams Trump's hurricane response, jokes 'he’s a weather expert' because he 'slept with someone named Stormy'
"The View" cohost took aim at Trump, who repeatedly denied having a sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels in the past.
Donald Trump is weathering another onslaught of criticism from the ladies of The View.
Tuesday's Hot Topics discussion began with a summary of disaster relief efforts in the United States in the wake of Hurricane Helene, particularly in southern states like Georgia, where Gov. Brian Kemp recently praised President Joe Biden for reaching out to offer assistance as the state reels from the damage.
Still, moderator Whoopi Goldberg accused Trump of lying to the American public about Biden's response to the catastrophe, after Trump said that Kemp was "having a hard time getting the president on the phone" and that Biden's team was "not being responsive" to calls for help.
"I have to just keep saying, is the GOP brain dead? How can they allow him to continue to act as if he's in charge?" Goldberg said, looking at Republican cohost (and former Trump staffer) Alyssa Farah Griffin for guidance. "I hate looking at you because it makes it feel like I'm directing it at you, but you're the only person I can ask, what the hell is going on?"
Griffin reacted with disbelief over her party backing Trump as their presidential nominee, and called her former boss a "buffoon who never misses an opportunity to politicize a tragedy" with regard to his comments on Biden's response to Helene.
Joy Behar, however, landed a particularly pointed jab at Trump, joking that "he thinks because he slept with someone named Stormy that he's a weather expert."

The comedian's quip came as a reference to accusations that Trump had sex with adult film actress Stormy Daniels — a claim he has repeatedly denied in the past. Trump was convicted in May on 34 charges tied to illegally influencing the 2016 presidential election via hush money payment to Daniels.
In celebration of the indictment, Goldberg closed The View's May 31 broadcast by repeating the word "guilty" multiple times as she stared into the camera.
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Trump for comment.
