Jubilant for Jabulani: Newly Named Rhino Calf Brings Joy at Australian Zoo

A rhino calf born recently at an Australian zoo was captured on camera with an adorable case of the zoomies.

The calf, born in August at Werribee Open Range Zoo near Melbourne, was named Jabulani, a Zulu word meaning rejoice, after thousands of people voted online, the zoo said on Wednesday, September 11.

The name “reflects the immense amount of joy he has brought to his mother, Kipenzi, zoo staff, and everyone around the country who has followed the wonderful news of his birth,” keeper Sophie Gray said. Credit: Werribee Open Range Zoo via Storyful
