Commuters have been hit with morning rush hour chaos on the Tube after a large part of the Jubilee line was suspended due to faulty trains.

There was no service between the busy Waterloo station and Neasden, which TfL said was due to an “unavailability of trains”.

It warned customers of severe delays across the entire line.

On Twitter, the Jubilee line account said that a fault had been found with some trains during safety inspections yesterday, meaning they had to be removed from service.

The reduced service began running on Thursday morning and is expected to continue until this afternoon.

A statement on TfL’s website read: “No service between Neasden and Waterloo only, due to the temporary unavailability of trains.

“Tickets will be accepted onc2c services between Upminster and Fenchurch Street.

“Tickets will be also be accepted on London Buses, DLR, London Overground, TFL Rail, Southeastern and Thameslink via any reasonable route.”

There is also no service between Gospel Oak and Upper Holloway on the London Overground.
