London Tube delays: TfL commuters face travel chaos as Jubilee, District and Piccadilly lines also hit
Tube commuters faced rush hour chaos on three London Underground lines sparked by a power failure and train faults.
The Piccadilly and Jubilee lines were part suspended following a power cut and a faulty train sparking misery for travellers on the Tube network on Friday morning.
The District line was also temporarily suspended shortly before 8am but was quickly reopened with severe delays on the line.
It followed a day of travel misery for passengers on Thursday when the Jubilee line was suspended for most of the day because of a power failure.
As of 5pm, engineers said they had found and fixed the power issues but the massive backlog meant travellers faced delays into the evening.
The problems continued into Friday morning, with no trains between Stanmore and Wembley Park and delays on the rest of the Jubilee line.
Meanwhile there was no service westbound between Hammersmith and all the Heathrow Terminals and Uxbridge on the Piccadilly line because of a faulty train. Service resumed at about 8.15am but with severe delays.
Frustrated commuters vented their frustrations over the disruption on social media.
One woman wrote: "Jubilee line shut.. excellent. On a bus to somewhere.. just followed the crowds."
"One hour and counting stuck on this stationary Piccadilly Line tube. Can’t even get off!! This is unacceptable," said one woman.

Another woman said getting the Piccadilly line this morning was the "worst decision of my life".
Made the worst decision of my life this morning - stayed on the Piccadilly line (severe delays) instead of changing at Kings Cross for the Met line ☹️

Kerri Rogan, Head of Line Operations for the Jubilee line, said: “Our engineers worked throughout the night to repair the Jubilee line following the power issues on the line yesterday.
"Work to repair signalling between Wembley Park and Stanmore continues this morning and I apologise to customers for the continued disruption.
"We have made rail replacement buses available and passengers are advised to check our website and social media channels for further travel information.
"We will be carrying out a full investigation into this incident to help ensure it doesn’t happen again.”
