Jude Law’s on-screen daughter from The Holiday has undergone a dramatic transformation since appearing in the seasonal romantic comedy.

Miffy Englefield played Sophie in the 2006 film, which also starred Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Kate Winslet. Now 19 years old, she is unrecognisable.

Englefield’s Instagram account features images of the former child star with cropped hair dyed black and blonde, along with multiple piercings and tattoos. She has described herself as a “short, loud and mostly ridiculous... Hampshire based, pint sized punk rocker that can probably eat spicier food than you" in her short bio on the social media platform,

After appearing in TV series The Whistleblowers in 2007 and taking a recurring role in Casualty from 2008 to 2010, she appears to have swapped acting to focus on music. One recent post showed her singing and playing the guitar at The Lady Luck pub in Canterbury, and thanking “everyone who comes to see me do my dodgy ting.”

“It’s crazy that the sweet little girl from The Holiday grew up to be such a beautiful, talented woman,” one fan commented.

In 2015, Englefield shaved her head to support the charity Children With Cancer UK. She documented the process with before and after shots on Instagram, writing: “The head shave. Big love to Amy who shaved my crazy mop.”

“So happy I went through with this, so glad I could raise money for such a great cause,” she added. “Thanks to everyone who supported me!”

Englefield’s on screen sister Emma Pritchard, who played Law’s character’s youngest daughter in the 2006 film, is now 17, and has not had any acting roles since her brief appearance in The Holiday.

The Holiday was directed by Nancy Meyers, and follows two women as they swap homes and find love over the Christmas break.
