Julia Roberts' new Amazon show debuts teaser trailer

San Diego Comic-Con is firing on all cylinders this weekend and now we have another brand new trailer, this time it's for Amazon Prime Video's forthcoming series Homecoming.

Starring Julia Roberts and directed by Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, the show has been described as a "mind-bending psychological thriller".

It's also now been confirmed that Homecoming will premiere Friday, November 2 on the streaming service.

The trailer doesn't give much away in terms of the all-important storyline, with the featured imagery mainly consisting of unpopulated rooms and symmetrical environments.

But there's certainly a sense of psychology present in these shots, which are soundtracked by Radiohead's spectral 'Everything in its Right Place'.

With the previously announced synopsis in mind, Homecoming looks to take inspiration from a number of projects before it. The work of Mindhunter's David Fincher springs to mind, mashed with the labyrinthine narrative of Westworld.

The upcoming series has already been picked up for two seasons ahead of Homecoming's premiere. Now that's some confident commissioning.

Meanwhile, the series' director Esmail is keeping busy in Hollywood with a planned collaboration with his Mr. Robot star Rami Malek in American Radical. The film will be based on the memoir of Tamer Elnoury, who was a former FBI agent.

Elnoury joined the counter-terrorism unit following 9/11 and infiltrated a United States based terror cell.

Homecoming will premiere on Amazon Prime on November 2.
