Absolutely Fabulous actress Julia Sawalha has criticised her sister Nadia over the comments she made during a candid discussion about her private life on Loose Women.

To mark the 20th anniversary of the ITV daytime show, the programme launched a series of interviews with the Loose Women panellists that started with Nadia.

During her interview, Nadia admitted that she had “really volatile relationship” with her youngest sister who she thought was “totally amazing.”

However, Julia hit back at the claims Nadia made on the show when she took to her Twitter page to declare that Nadia was responsible for “destroying” their family.

“So tired of #nadiasawalha talking about our ‘stormy’ relationship which she created,” she began.

“I’ve kept my privacy for 6 years to protect my family, whilst she talks lies & rubbish. You have destroyed our family so don’t sit on TV with your fake tears to gain sympathy & attention.”

As her followers tried to calm the situation by explaining that all families have issues, Julia tweeted once more where she explained that she had, had enough.

“Yes well it’s very difficult when you only see the story from one side.

“I’m not actually fighting, she is, but paints a very different picture publicly and I’ve had enough.”

The actress, who found fame playing Saffron Monsoon in Absolutely Fabulous, also responded to a follower’s suggestion of showing Nadia “unconditional love” in a bid to settle the issue.

“Tried that, made it even worse, but thank you,” she declared.

In another conversation with a fan, Julia admitted that she decided to speak up now because the issue had “finally got to her.”

“Just watching 6 years of her lies finally got to me, which of course is just what she wants, more attention. Thank you for your understanding,” she tweeted.

Nadia has yet to respond to Julia’s comments and claims on her Twitter page.
