Junior and Mini Great North Run results - find out your time for 2024 race as thousands take part

More than 10,500 children signed up to take part in this year’s AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great North Run - making it the biggest staging yet.

And the youngsters made their way to the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside on Saturday, where they were delighted by the official Great Run mascot - Tyney the Tortoise. The 2024 theme was ‘Finding Your Superpower’.

So lots of children came in fancy dress or costumes like Batman and Spiderman. The youngsters started by crossing the Swing Bridge. Junior runners then did an out and back section towards the Redheugh Bridge, before re-joining the Mini route heading along the Gateshead Quayside, past the Sage Gateshead and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.

All participants then ran across the Millennium Bridge before their big finish on the Newcastle Quayside, near the Law Courts. If your child took part in this year's Junior and Mini Great North Run - or you know anyone who did and want to find out their result and time - visit this Great Run website here.
