Bryce Dallas Howard has revealed she was so scared while filming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, she actually passed out.

The actress said that while filming a stunt involving a gyrosphere falling off a cliff, director JA Bayona wanted her reaction to be very realistic, so decided to build a rollercoaster and have her do the take over and over again.

"JA Bayona decided to have a rollercoaster built," she told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. "So we could experience zero g – zero gravity – so we could actually fall faster."

Only it worked a little bit too well, apparently, as Bryce admitted to being absolutely terrified during the filming, mainly because she's not a fan of rollercoasters.

"I was so scared," she continued. "Justice Smith actually just reminded me of this a couple of days ago. Normally with stunts, with each take you get more and more confident. With each take my panic increased substantially.

"And by the fifth or sixth take, you know there's so much fear, and I just blacked out. Then it stopped and I came to. It was crazy, I passed out."

The actress previously revealed that she insisted her character, Claire, wear heels in the film, just as she did in the first movie.

Speaking to Radio Times, the actress said: "It's a part of the character and kind of a metaphor for her journey. And that's how it was intended in the first, and intended in the second.

"Obviously Claire is prepared this time going to the island, so she's naturally going to wear boots.

"But in the first scene, like you mentioned, I'm wearing high heels, and it was written like, 'Claire's wearing sneakers'. Like specifically, Claire's wearing sneakers."

However, the actress thought heels were "truthful" to the character, so they stayed.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is out now in the UK and will be released on June 22 in the US. Book your tickets here.
