Just Like Home: Denver Zoo Parrot Has Ice Bath to Beat the Heat

One of Denver Zoo’s resident kea birds took a break from recent hot temperatures at the zoo’s Bird World outdoor exhibit when it stepped into an ice bath.

According to the zoo, the ice bath helps kea birds cool down and provides a great form of enrichment. The zoo said the baths are “a lovely summer treat” for the snow-loving birds.
