And Just Like That... has just secured a special cameo, as singer Sam Smith teased an appearance in the HBO Max dramedy.

Though it was originally billed as a limited series, the Sex and the City revival will be back for another instalment. The show created by Darren Star is currently filming and it looks like the 'Stay With Me' hitmaker will be a part of it.

Smith took to Instagram on February 22 to share two snaps from set. In one picture, they are popping their head out of a trailer, while in the second they are sitting just outside wearing black sunglasses. The artist also tagged the Instagram page of the series which reposted it, so it seems that their role on the show is as official as it gets.

"Up to something unholy on set," Smith wrote in the caption in a nod to their single from their new album Gloria.

And while this is all that we know of the 'I'm Not the Only One' singer's involvement in And Just Like That..., it was definitely enough for fans to show their excitement.

"Sam? Up to something unholy? Never!" one person joked, while another wrote: "I CANNOT HANDLE THIS."

"STOP IT RIGHT NOW," was another comment.

Kim Petras, who duets with Smith on 'Unholy', cheekily commented with an angel emoji.

Meanwhile, the show announced the return of one of protagonist Carrie Bradshaw's former lovers with John Corbett's comeback as Aidan Shaw.

Recent set pictures of Corbett and Carrie star Sarah Jessica Parker kissing in the streets of New York appeared to confirm that the two exes will rekindle their romance.

And Just Like That, the sequel to Sex and the City, airs on HBO Max in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
