Just What The World Needs: A 360-Degree Ultra HD Selfie Stick

In the grand scheme of things that need reinventing, the selfie stick is somewhere just slightly above the wheel.

However, technology never let a thing like that stop it and chip-maker Intel is about as technology as it gets.

So meet the next-level selfie stick that uses six - SIX - GoPro cameras that can take 360-degree ultra high definition 4K images and videos.

Intel put the over the top selfie stick together to show off its new line of Core processors that it claims are up to 200% faster and last three times longer than previous models.

You’ll find Intel’s processors in a lot of computers, laptops and tablets - Kirk Skaugen, senior vice president of computing at Intel, says that the power in these new processors will give hte smallest laptops and tablets similar speeds to the large tower computers of three years ago.

The stick was shown off at IFA 2015 in Berlin, one of Europe’s biggest technology shows.

The company also showcased its facial recognition technology, using it to open a car, and gave “eyes” to a drone so it could manoeuvre its way around obstacles on its own.

But the most terrifying of all these is still the selfie stick. As senior Cnet writer Shara Tibken wrote on Twitter, “I’m scared.”
