We've been saying it for ages, ever since that Justice League tagline 'Unite the seven' was revealed alongside a look at Jason Momoa's Aquaman. There are only six official members of DC's team confirmed – Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Cyborg, Aquaman and the Flash – so who's the seventh?

Now maybe it was referring to Aquaman rather than Justice League (as in 'the seven seas'), or maybe it was an old tagline Warner Bros abandoned when they started counting the characters out on their fingers.

Well, a leaked peak at the film's soundtrack features a track also called 'Unite the Seven', hinting that the secret seventh member is still out there.

The news comes via Reddit but, unusually, from the subreddit for the band Imagine Dragons, who are supposed to have written and performed the track, rather than from a dedicated superhero or DC page.

The favourite for the seventh slot is long-time Justice League member Green Lantern – a character Superman actor Henry Cavill might have been teasing earlier in 2017.

A Green Lanterns Corps movie – focusing on the group of superpowered space cops – is scheduled for 2020, although a director or stars are yet to be announced. Justice League could be the first place that one of them appears – after all, they were namechecked in the latest trailer.

We're also waiting to meet Shazam, whose getting his own film under director Lights Out director David F Sandberg. Could he arrive to lighten up the mood of the movie in its final act?

Justice League will be released on November 17.
