Justin Bieber is revealing that he and his wife, Hailey Bieber, may be ready to start a family as 2022 approaches.

In his Amazon Prime documentary, "Justin Bieber: Our World" set to be released on Friday, the 27-year-old Canadian singer candidly says that his focus this year is "to continue to set goals and have fun doing them, make sure I put family first."

"And hopefully we will squish out a nugget," he adds.

"At the end of 2021, how about we start trying?" he then asks Hailey, his wife of three years.

He also explains that having a wife has been beneficial to all the areas of his life.

"In my home growing up, a lot of things were unpredictable and that made things unreliable," Bieber says. Now I have a partner to spend the rest of my life with. It’s been really good for my mental health, heart and spirit."

He goes on to praise Baldwin for keeping him grounded while he travels.

"We could be traveling all across the world and if I’m with her I feel like I am home," he says. "My home life is so taken care of, I just feel like I can do anything when it comes to my job."

Following this year's Met Gala, there was some speculation that Baldwin was already pregnant, after Bieber posed with his hand holding her abdomen on the red carpet. Not only was it their first Met Gala appearance as a couple, but it was also their third wedding anniversary, which only added fuel to the pregnancy rumours.

The theory was quickly debunked by sources close to the couple, however, who subsequently clarified to TMZ that Bieber's pose wasn't intended to be any indication of the pair being pregnant and that fans misconstrued what was merely an innocent gesture.

In December 2020, Bieber revealed on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" that he and Baldwin were holding off on having children, but we're definitely looking forward to having them "one day."

"I'm going to have as many as Hailey is wishing to push out. I'd love to have myself a little tribe, but it's her body and whatever she wants to do," he said, at the time adding that Baldwin “wants to have a few."

He explained that Baldwin still has things she wants to accomplish before becoming a mother but that he's happy to wait until she is ready. "There's not really an issue, but I think Hailey still has some things she wants to accomplish as a woman,” he added. “And I think she just is not ready yet, and I think that's OK."
