Ahead of This Is Us' sixth and final season, star Justin Hartley has landed a new job.
The actor, who plays Kevin Pearson in the hit NBC drama, is set to star and produce a pilot for The Never Game on CBS, which will be based on the Colter Shaw book series by Jeffrey Deaver (via People).
The show follows hero and expert tracker Shaw, who roams the country as a "reward seeker" and helps private citizens and law enforcement solve mysteries with his skills, all while trying to contend with his fractured family.
"I couldn't be happier that The Never Game is coming to CBS, and that Colter Shaw will be brought to life on screen soon," Hartley said in a statement.
"When I read the book, I was immediately drawn to the character and the story; developing this project with Ken [Olin] has been a true labor of love. Colter is going to kick some serious ass, and I can't wait for audiences to meet him."
This Is Us executive producer Olin re-teams with Hartley for the pilot, directing and executive producing, while Michael Clooney will write the script.
The Never Game is one of a number of projects the star has lined-up, including the Injustice animated movie that will see him voice Superman. The project itself will follow a vengeful Clark Kent on an alternate Earth.
Hartley is also due to appear alongside Rebel Wilson in high school comedy Senior Year, which will also star Angourie Rice (Spider-Man) Sam Richardson (Veep), Zoë Chao (Living with Yourself), Mary Holland (Hoops) and Chris Parnell (30 Rock).
This Is Us is shown on NBC in the US and on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
