The Leftovers star was unsurprisingly asked his thoughts on his wife’s first husband’s current drama during the press tour for his upcoming film, The Girl on the Train.

The 45-year-old actor’s thoughts went immediately to their kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight, and he admitted he knows how they will be feeling because he is a ‘child of divorce’.

He said: ‘As a child of divorce, all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children, and that’s all you can really say. It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time. That’s horrible.’

Realising he may already have said to much on the matter, he added: ‘There’s an endless appetite for trash, apparently – though everyone would say that they don’t have that appetite. But I think a lot of people do because people buy it. But there are bigger things to bitch about. It’s shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world.’

The news that Brad has split from the woman he fell in love with on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith – while married to Jennifer – has caused the eyes of the world’s media to focus on Jen’s every move but the actress has, diplomatically, refused to talk about it.

However, it’s safe to say that Justin and his 47-year-old spouse have discussed her ex’s divorce and his latest comments, and concern for Brangelina’s kids, are likely her thoughts on the matter too.
