Vice President Kamala Harris’ memoir has risen to the top of multiple Amazon bestseller lists, following her campaign launch for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination.

Harris’ 2019 memoir, The Truths We Hold: An American Journey, currently holds the No. 1 slot on Amazon’s Biographies of Politicians and Women’s Biographies bestseller charts, as of the publication of this article.

Harris' campaign launched following President Joe Biden’s historic July 21 decision to suspend his re-election campaign. Biden endorsed Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee, and Harris has the support of more than the 1,976 pledged delegates needed to officially secure the nomination, per CNN's delegate estimate and a survey conducted by the Associated Press.

The Truths We Hold was also a 2019 New York Times bestseller. The book detail’s Harris’ journey into politics, beginning with her childhood in California as the child of immigrants and civil rights activists, per the book’s description.
