Smoke smothered areas near Kamloops, British Columbia, on July 15, as dozens of fires raged in the Canadian province.
As of Thursday, 307 fires were recorded as active in British Columbia, according to the province’s wildfire dashboard. Over 68% of those were caused by lightning, according to officials.
