Kanye West announces new album
Kanye West has given notice of a new album, titled Bully.
The rapper made the announcement and debuted a new song, Beauty and the Beast, at a listening event in China.
Following up on the release of his two Vultures albums with Ty Dolla Sign earlier this year, West shared the news during a show at Wuyuan River Stadium in Haikou.
Towards the end of his performance, he told the audience, "I got a new album coming out. The album's called Bully, and this song is called Beauty and the Beast." The track features West rapping over a gentle instrumental with the lyrics: "I still think about it every night and day to try to stay away, to keep my audience / Don't take this disrespect, I'm sitting here trying to redirect."
West, who also goes by Ye, was in China for his second performance this month. He took to the stage on the holiday island of Hainan on 15 September for a previous listening party experience, which marked his first performance in the country in 16 years.
The ex-husband of Kim Kardashian did not give any clue as to when the Bully album will be released, but if it follows the same route the two Vultures projects did, fans can expect it to be plagued by delays.
