Kanye West deletes all Donald Trump posts from his Twitter account

Kanye West has deleted all of his Donald Trump posts from his Twitter account.

The US rapper, 39, removed all trace of the President from his page just weeks after appearing to throw his support behind the Republican.

In December, West – who told fans he would have voted for Mr Trump – met with the then-President elect at Trump Towers in New York City to discuss “issues including bullying, supporting teachers, modernising curriculums, and violence in Chicago”.

After posing together for photographers West later tweeted: “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues.

“I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future president if we truly want change.”

Confirming his blossoming friendship with the former Apprentice star, West also tweeted a picture of a signed copy of Mr Trump on the front of TIME magazine.

The message read: “To Kanye, you are a great friend, thanks, Donald Trump.”

West’s followers slammed him for the post and urged him to delete his social media accounts.

US site TMZ reported that West removed all trace of the President from his account after he implemented a travel ban on refugees and people from Muslim-majority countries entering the US.
