Kanye West Vows To Boycott The Grammy Awards If He Doesn't Win - He's Not Nominated

Well this is awkward.

Kanye West has been his truest Kanye West self this last week or so and he has arguably peaked by claiming that he will boycott the Grammy Awards if he doesn’t win Album of the Year.

The only thing is, he’s not actually nominated.

Well, to be fair ‘Ye, Life Of Pablo was only released the other day…

Still, that is seemingly meaningless to the father of two who tweeted: “I’m practicing my Grammy Speech. I’m not going to the Grammys unless they promise me the Album of the Year!!! [sic]”

Although the rapper himself isn’t nominated, Kanye is credited as a producer on one track on The Weeknd’s album, so maybe he’ll be able to live vicariously through that.

Over the years the 38-year-old has nabbed himself a whopping 21 Grammy awards, including Best Rap Album in 2012, but that doesn’t seem to be enough for Yeezus, who vows to win at least 100 throughout his career.

He added to his millions of fans: “I made Dark Fantasy and Watch the Throne in one year and wasn’t nominated for either …

"I will have over 100 Grammys before I die. I am the Jordan and Steph Curry of music, meaning I’m the best of 2 generations.

"All y'all so worried about being likable but only a few are concerned about being great!!!”

Taylor Swift, Alabama Shakes, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Stapleton and The Weeknd will battle it out for Album of the Year at tonight’s Grammy’s.
