Is Karen Hardy about to replace Len on Strictly?
Another day, another Strictly Come Dancing head judge rumour.
Former Strictly pro Karen Hardy has expressed her desire to take over from Len Goodman on the show and join Darcey Bussell in bringing some "girl power" to the judging panel.
"It would be great to balance the panel out with another strong woman. But for now it's all closed doors, it's completely in the hands of the execs at the moment," she told The Sun.
"I just hope a lucky star will shine down on me as I would love to do it - it would be an absolute honour to stay part of a show I'm so passionate about."
Karen has already been delivering her opinions of the Strictly celebrities on companion show It Takes Two, so it wouldn't be the biggest stretch for her to transfer those skills to the main show.
Not to mention the fact that she's currently working with Len and Craig Revel Horwood on the Strictly Live UK tour.
"They've been really welcoming and have been guiding me along the way telling me which buttons to press when, how to hold up my paddle and stuff like that," Karen added.
She faces competition from another Strictly dancer for the job though as Anton Du Beke was named the favourite to take over from Len in December. (Karen was second favourite, however.)
That's after the BBC dismissed rumours that the title of head judge would go to current judge Darcey Bussell.
Len bowed out from Strictly on the Christmas special and if he had his way, it would apparently be Dancing with the Stars Australia veteran Helen Richey coming in as his replacement.
At least according to Darcey, that is.
We're still hoping it'll be Ed Balls.
