KASPA'S has opened in Taunton, drawing in locals with a sweet tooth.

The dessert chain opened its Taunton branch today (March 27, 2023). When visited by the Gazette, the store seemed to be a hit with young people.

The new restaurant is located on the former Maplins store at Unit 12 County Walk.

The store, which overlooks the Sainsbury's car park, has been vacant since Maplins went into administration in March 2018. It previously housed a Blockbuster video shop.

Residents can choose from a wide variety of desserts, including chunky milk chocolate cookie dough, strawberries and cream waffles and luxury sticky toffee pudding, to name just a few.

Work has been carried out to subdivide the premises, turning the store unit into two separate smaller ones.

A Döner & Gyros restaurant and hot food takeaway will be operating next door, meaning that residents can have the best of both worlds, sweet and savoury.
