Kate Beckinsale stunned in a black mesh dress as she presented an award on Wednesday night at the ESPY Awards.

The British actress dazzled in a black sparkly one-shoulder bodice dress with see-through skirt and sheer train.

Beckinsale presented Best Male Athlete at the ceremony - held in Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theatre - to Russian ice hockey star Alex Ovechkin, who won two gongs on the night.

The Total Recall star was among a host of celebrities presenting awards, including Jennifer Garner, Chadwick Boseman and Alison Janney.

Beckinsale will star in upcoming ITV drama The Widow, from critically-acclaimed writing duo Harry and Jack Williams, in a joint venture with Amazon Prime.

The actress will star as Georgia Wells, an unsuspecting happily-married woman whose life will be turned upside-down when she learns her husband, Will, has been reported dead in a place crash deep in the Congolese jungle.

But, three years later, a shocking truth leads her to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo searching for what really happened when Will disappeared.

Production on the programme, which will air on ITV before going on Amazon’s service, began in January this year in South Africa, Wales and Rotterdam.

The eight-part series is yet to get a transmission date.
